AOC-900 Data Link Communications

Overview

The Rockwell Collins AOC-900 software provides the data link Airline Operational Communication (AOC) application hosted in the Airbus Air Traffic Services Unit (ATSU). We designed this application for Airbus single-aisle and long-range families.

The crew accesses the AOC-900 through the multifunctional control display unit.

Two parts make up the AOC: the core software application and a database running on the ATSU.
Airbus defines the standard database, which meets most airlines’ AOC needs and includes free-text and “Out-Off-On-In” management. Either Rockwell Collins or Airbus can provide the database if you require no customization. For a custom database, we will work with airline-defined requirements to provide you with buyer-furnished equipment.3

With the AOC-900, you get operational commonality across your airline’s fleet. From the operational service and customization point of view, it is similar to our AOC on DLM/CMU-900, for optimal integration into an airline’s infrastructure.
